Rape verses Desire

Today, in Perth, Australia I saw a girl walking around the city shopping area wearing knee-high boots, a very low cut top and a micro-mini skirt so short that about 2 inches of perfect, tanned wriggling arse was exposed! She had a body like a top rank stripper. She stopped every while to pull the skirt down a bit, but it kept rising back up. My eyes were watering.

Now, a few days ago a senior Muslim leader down here in Oz made a complete dick of himself when he described western women who wear sexy gear in public as being like "uncovered meat left out for the cats ". He went on to imply that if such women got raped, then they deserved it.

Needless to say, his comments have caused outrage. And when I think about his comments and the girl I was admiring today, it made me realise just how different our attitudes can be. I looked at this girl and thought:-

" Ohhh, what a fucking babe. Those legs. That arse. The way she walks. The simple fact that she's happy to show it all off for us. "

While I certainly did think she's be a fabulous fuck, the idea of raping her was out of the question. If I raped her, she'd hate me and it would be a horrible thing to do to her. Why would I want to hurt a girl like that ? On the contrary, the average guy would come to her aid if she was even threatened.

The idea that girls who dress to look sexy are inviting sex attacks says something about the people making the claim.

The question on everybody's lips is .... why didn't you have a camera on you? ;-)

I was reading an article in one of the papers the other day, can?t remember which paper or who the author was.

The article was mainly about the veil issue that has been big news here. It was written by some woman who had lived and worked in the Middle East.

She was saying she could understand why women in whatever country it was she was in wanted to dress from head to foot in black with their face covered.

She was saying that whilst she was there whenever she went out she observed local custom and covered her head and arms and would wear a to the floor dress so she didn?t show any leg.

However, Muslim men still came up to her pawing her and whispering obscenities in her ear. They were asking her to come to bed with them and such. She was seen as easy meat.

She thought about adopting the head to foot dress in black with a veil garb just to get rid of this attention.

She went on to say she could understand why women wanted to dress like that in the Middle East but not in Bradford, because the attitude of most men in the UK is completely different and she can dress how she wants in the UK and she isn?t going to get the same unwanted attention as she was getting in the Middle East.

It?s all about the different attitude of the cultures towards women.

It was a very interesting article.

Not to be controversial or anything but I'm all in favour of the Hijab but I am not in favour of the whole face being covered thing. Muslims in the western world should respect this more so after 9/11.

If you want to keep your face covered then stay in your own country and do it but the way I see it how long before we have some lunatic terrorist using this as a guise to commit a terrorist act.

I couldnt be fairer than that. Besides there are plenty of muslim women wearing hijabs but not covering their whole face so I think this is not an unacceptable request.

If they feel the need to argue the case, then sorry, go back to your own country where it is entirely acceptable.

As for covering up to keep unwanted male attention at bay: Well some blokes should just learn to behave and not act like rabid, snarling doggies at the mere sight of flesh. No matter how pretty that flesh might look.

I know dogs that are better trained around steak on a dinner table.

If only ! Actually, I wondered if it was a set-up by a TV current affairs program to see what reaction she got. She seemed ' too good to be true '.

totally agree, we seem to have gone too far to accomodate minority cultures in this country to the detriment of our own culture and basic freedoms. time for a redress of balance i think!

Keith, Keith, Keith........

EVERYONE has culture, even if it's trashy, TV, McDonalds based culture! Denying culture to Brits is, relegating them to mere 'animal status'!

I HATE McDonalds, I hardly ever watch TV and apart from the odd glass of 'Sauvignon Blanc' over dinner, I hardly drink, but if I had to choose McDonalds culture over forcing my wife to wear hijab, making her walk 5 paces behind me at all times, forcing my children to marry who I say and denying women an education, I'll choose McDonalds, Eastenders, and getting pissed whist watching my wifes arse in a mini skirt any fucking day..........

........oh, and if British culture is in such a decline as you say, isn't it any wonder, as it seems every other fucking culture seems to be more important these days?

A question.

If our culture is such trash, why is it that the world and his wife seem to want to come and live here ?
