Soho

I walked though Soho today. The sun shone,it was packed and as I sat in the falafel place,Mezzo I think it is called,a continous stream of people walked passing the window. The falafell tasted good. After a while I noticed a guy standing outside the Admiral Duncan. He had an enormous erection unless that was a dildo stuck down his tight jeans! I got up and put some more pickled cucumber, pickled pepper and big green olives on my half eaten falafel. A few people dressed in SM clothes walked by their black Mohicans blowing in the breeze, then more of then tribe. A girl stood on the pavement outside while I enjoyed the eye candy, her breasts swelling over her tight black corset. a black elastic belt pulled in her waist, a leopard skin skirt showed off her buttocks. She wore red six inch high platform shoes.

She became aware of my stare and looked at me through her spectacles. I met her gaze and our eyes stayed to together for a little while. I saw a little stud through her nose. I started to get hard...she was erotic.

The point is that SM is mainstream now.I have always wondered why the authoritarian state was so afraid of it. "Was it because all desires for power over others can be satisfied by either ordering others to obey your desires?" I wondered.

I left the falafel bar and walked down Old Compton Street it was packed with gays. As they stood chattering drinking their pints of lager they spilled out into the street. Suddenly a siren and a police car screamed its way along the street, scattering them all with unseemly haste, and swerving left up Dean Street. I walked into a couple of sex boutiques and looked at the kinky rubber outfits. I was looking for a clitoral pump..

Off to Berwick Street Market to buy some fruit and vegetables. Walked back to Leicester Square tube, past several bookshops with "to rent" signs outside. One was already serving Chinese food. "The internet killed the Soho shops" I thought.

I remember my first ventures in Soho when it was a very different place......unfriendly and dodgy with rip off shops too boot.
Last visited last year, so much nicer and friendly. Agreed, you can sit at a cafe or a bar (The Ship is the place I look for) and while away a few hours not feeling intimidated or the need to look over your shoulder.
Fantastic place these days

glad it sounds like a better place nowadays, thinking of taking a trip to Soho soon, not been for a couple of years.

Nice to see us agreeing Soho still has an appeal, despite changes. I visit the big smoke a couple of times a year, and it does seem central London is getting blander.

Perhaps that's just me, though I always enjoy a good stroll along the Thames, from Tate to Tate usually.

Hi Ace,

It is getting nicer and as long as you avoid the clip joints then you can find lots of restaurants and bars from the cheap to the expensive. The bookshops are a waste of time as you can get all porn cheaper on the internet.
Mike.

Been hanging around Soho & Covent Garden this weekend with my better half.
Nice cafe's, shops, bars & restaurants. I guess when you go in winter, it loses it's appeal, but it's quite 'scenic' and laid back during the summertime.
