Steve Buschemi in "The wedding singer".
Watching him sing True by Spandau Ballet at the end of the film in a vile 80s electric blue wedding suit, was and is a sight to behold...

Means when an actor/actress appears in one scene only in a film (a cameo) and is so good, it makes the film even better.
* For the benefit of Mr 56 who will no doubt bombared this post !wink!

I'll go for Christoper Walken again, but in True Romance instead. Him smiling through gritted teeth while Dennis Hopper riles him enough with insults against Sicilians to kill him quicker than planned was the best scene in the movie.

What about Walkens performance in Annie Hall? The bit in the car after he confides in Woody Allen about killing himself in a car wreck is priceless.

It must've been difficult to steal a scene from Jack Nicholson at the height of his powers, but I noticed Philip Stone did just that in The Shining last night.
"And I.....corrected them." Chilling stuff.

A serious contender has to be Dustin Hoffman in Midnight Cowboy. He made you feel sorry for the character he played and made your heart bleed at the end. Thats a great movie too...even if it does look old.

That whole scene with Jack in the bathroom is the best scene in The Shining...........his description of Scatman Crothers chef was also 'to-the-point'
