What on earth is this file format?
I have a downloaded video which was originally .wmv or something straightforward but it has mysteriously changed to .OMP

This site is excellent for file extensions and what they open with:
http://filext.com/index.php
But it doesn't have .OMP
I think I saw a file like this once before. It was from a premium music dowwnload site. Once the 7 day licence period was up, it stopped working.

Piece of piss if you know what you need to do - it's why Sky have just stopped their download service.

No Jaques, what im trying to find out is if a producer who owns the right to the content had put DRM code on, could the producer remove it simply or is it a big job?

p.s.
OMP is
http://www.openmp.org essentially its a filter extention kit, so your omp file is likely to contain html/omp code.
