Hope Frank Lampard, Wayne (Petulant Chave) Rooney and Simpering Sven hang their heads in shame. !furious!
Maybe there wasn't enough cash offered to win!!!
They let down themselves, their families and their country.
Herculean Owen Hargreaves was simply magnificent and should be the New England captain. !thumbsup!
Now Beckham has gone it's time to ditch Lampard and base the midfield around Hargreaves and Gerrard!
Thanks Sven for nothing! !annoyed!

Which part of "they are just NOT GOOD ENOUGH" are people stuggling with!! I refer to previous postings. So overrated its not true. Lampard is NOT international class, Beckham has always been a ONE TRICK PONY need I go on??

I only watch international football because i hate league football so maybe unfair for me to comment but I was of the understanding that Lampard was key to chelsea and scored many times for them?

As for beckham - his "golden boy" era has passed but letsnot forget he was our best hope for a long time there...and as for being a one trick pony - if you call corners, free kicks etc one trick then so be it. We've won many matches off them thanks to him even if he has passed his best.

Still saying it tho - Owen Hargreaves was Outstanding. Possibly the most hardworking, determined, motivated performance by any player in the entire World Cup which face it has been ruined by terrible refereeing, "cheating" teams (diving, feigning etc) and underperforming major teams.

Not sure I even care who wins outta the last 4 as long as its not the headbutting, card-demanding, diving dirty portuguese

Motivation

Thta was the thing that was lacking - Motivationa and belief. You only had to look at the players out there and you could see that they leacked belief.

Only Hargreaves, Lampard and the 2 Coles (and Aaron Lennon of course) can walk away from that tournament in the knowledge that they did themselves justice.

Everytime Lampard let one go, to see his reaction afterwards was like looking at a beaten man. Never once did you think that he beleived he was going to score.

Even before we resorted to 4-1-4-1, the tactics seemed to be - pinball it around the back 4 for a bit and then hoof one up field. I don't know whether that was "on instructions", but never once did we try to build and create something.

Whatever anyone trie telling me - Crouch is NOT premiership or international quality. 6 clubs in 6 seasons- sorry, soon to be 7 seasons - or maybe Raffa will move him out? - says it all. But despite all this talk about taking 2 crocked strikers, one crock of shit and taking the kid along for the ride - ultimately, the team lacked belief and motivation and that was down to Sven AND MACLAREN!

Unfortunately, the FA have made our bed and even with the departure of Sven, it's business as usual and more of the same...

Eh?! Lampard can walk from the tournement knowing he did himself justice?

Englands best player overall was Rio Ferdinand. Never put a foot wrong in any match. Owen Hargreaves, Ashley Cole & Joe Cole would be 3 others that stood out. Carrick had 1 good game (but only played one game, and I think he should have replaced Lampard).

Terry, Neville, Crouch, Rooney & Gerrard did, "OK".

Cambell was terrible when he came on against Sweden & Carragher only ever passes backwards.

Our worst players were Lampard & Beckham. Beckham scored and got 2 assists so the worst english player award goes to Lampard! Most shots in the tournement, most shots off target in the tounement, never scored, never set up a goal or made a crucial tackle either. He was crap! Gerrard, Carrick and Hargreaves were better than him. I even think Jermaine Jenas, Scott Parker or Ian Nolan would have had better world cups if they'd have taken Franks place.

Since Frank shot at goal at every opportunity, I can't see how you assume he had no belief either. I guy with no belief would have passed someone else in on goal rather than shoot everytime he got within 40 yds of goal. He had loadsa belief, he just played crap!
