If you were a contestant on Family Fortunes, Keith, Les Dennis would shout:

"TOP ANSWER!"

followed by a crappy wee BBC micro electronic beep/jangle to emphasise the fact you have furnished Les with, indeed, a top answer.

Here's my contribution (in no particular order):

1) Bohemian Rhapsody by QUEEN: I'm actually a big Queen fan, but this song has been flogged to death so much over the years, now it just gets on my tits.

2) Almost anything by U2: Overrated, pompous, pretentious wankers.

3) Anything by Oasis: More pretentious charlatans.

4) "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by NIRVANA

5) "I Feel Good" by JAMES BROWN

6) "Imagine" by JOHN LENNON, who - thanks to getting shot - went (literally overnight) from being a semi-reclusive has-been who few people really cared about any more, to being hailed as "the greatest musician who ever lived" (and other such hyperbolic nonsense) and having an airport named after him a few years later.

7) "Jesus To A Child" by GEORGE MICHAEL: Music to slash your wrists to.

8) "Centerfold" by the J. GEILS BAND: Why is it that practically every available CD compilation of '80s hits has this fucking annoying song on it??!

9) Anything by BLUR: A bunch of spotty, talentless oiks who were totally up their own arses (Damon Albarn in particular)

10) "Like A Virgin" by MADONNA: I have a lot of time for Maddy (apart from the "American Life" blip, she's got progressively better as she's got older), but this particular song has also been done to death.

11) "Tell Me What I Want What I Really Really Want" by the SPICE GIRLS: I know that's not the title (can't think of it off hand) but you know the song. Annoying tunes, equally dreadful lyrics, they weren't even all that attractive - how in God's name the Spice Girls became so huge simply amazes me. It can only have been clever marketing aimed at pre-pubescent boys who don't know any better.

13) "Sussudio" by PHIL COLLINS. Bald Phil has done some decent stuff (both with Genesis and solo) but he's also churned out some utter bollocks, like this one.

14) "Mr Blue Sky" by ELO

15) "A Moment Like This" by that bird who won American Idol - it's being used in some advert at the moment and it's fucking annoying

No doubt others will spring to mind later .... !!

The national anthem

The lyrics below....................... this is the worse song ever and makes me want to be !sick! everytime i hear and see crowds singing it !

All together ......1 , 2 , 3...........

God save our gracious Queen
Long live our noble Queen,
God save the Queen:
Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us:
God save the Queen.

O Lord, our God, arise,
Scatter thine enemies,
And make them fall:
Confound their politics,
Frustrate their knavish tricks,
On thee our hopes we fix:
God save us all.

Thy choicest gifts in store,
On her be pleased to pour;
Long may she reign:
May she defend our laws,
And ever give us cause
To sing with heart and voice
God save the Queen.
