Goalkeepers:
Robinson (Spurs...Best English 'keeper at the minute)
James (Man. City...says a lot when 'Calamity' is #2 by default!)
Green (Norwich....there is a distinct and worrying lack of English goalies
in the Premier League at the minute!!!)
Defenders:
Neville (Man. Utd...whinger, but links up well with Beckham)
Ferdinand(Man. Utd...prone to the odd lapse, but decent otherwise)
Terry (Chelsea...rock solid, should be the Captain in my opinion)
Cole (Arsenal...if fit, probably the best left back in the world)
Campbell (Arsenal...again, prone to the odd howler, but useful nonetheless)
King (Spurs...solid, plus could also be deployed in a midfield role)
Carragher (Liverpool...solid centre, half plus very versatile in other roles)
Bridge (Fulham...technically Chelsea. Can play either left flank role)
Midfielders:
Beckham (Real Madrid...still useful enough, great on dead balls)
Gerrard (Liverpool...would prefer to see him in a more advanced role)
Lampard (Chelsea...goals from midfield are a blessing)
Cole (Chelsea...does a good enough job even though not his position)
Lennon (Spurs...a definite suprise sub who could make things happen)
Carrick (Spurs...good range of passing, although needs too much time)
Downing (M'Boro...actually starting to get his form back recently)
Forwards:
Rooney (Man. Utd...PLEASE GOD! PLEASE!!!)
Owen (Newcastle...well worth it if he's fit)
Crouch (Liverpool...offers something different, holds ball up well)
Bent (Charlton...top English scorer this year, in on merit)
Ashton (Good in the air and on the ground, again offers a new option)
If Owen or Rooney can't make it, I'll have Jermaine Defoe in. I'd have picked Scott Parker if fit, and I think Jenas will be in the final squad that Sven names at the expense of Downing. Although if Sven is seriously contemplating taking Wright-Phillips instead of Lennon, he needs his head checked!!!

That's not a bad squad.
The only things I'd change is Bent for Fowler and Luke Young for Dawson or Campbell. Another keeper for Cudicini as well but I'm struggling to think of one.
With Luke Young then the squad does need a balance to it and 6 central defenders out of a total of 8 is a bit lop sided. I know Carra can play there but he's a pretty average full back even at club level.

Holy fuck as a (semi) mad Scottish bloke don't tell me that we (the british gals porn forum) aint going to have to listen to you English guys bit by bit spitting out the dummy with every beating in this world cup and realising you aint exactly as good as you guys and your dodgy press seem to think you are, ie Brazil 1st (by a mile) and possibly he says with much thought an African team as runners up??
I have to laugh at the backbone of those teams though:
Robinson (Goalie) Fuck me has Mr. Blobby been hired out that week??
Ferdinand (Centre Back) lol can I superimpose my grannies face on his bus pass please (she won't be THAT upset with his sad demise)??
Can I also promise that Ashley Cole and Sol Campbell will be allowed a tour of the opposing team's shower facilities (obviously whilst they are using it) oops watch that fucking SOAP you guys might get injured!!
.... right so that is your defence sorted then??
now the midfield ... I cannot even as a Scot find too many weaknesses here boys ... OTHER than the insistence of playing that FLYING winger David Beckham and putting him as Captain ... maybe Sven's blind faith in all things Beckham will cost him??
Well up front ... fuck I will need a lie down, without (poacher) Owen how exactly (with all the stats you guys no doubt have) are you champs going to put the ball in the net now and again??
Trinidad or Tobago for the World Cup??

Cudinchi could have played for England for about 2 years ago when we were all worring about who would replace David Seaman I think Sven first choice was calamity James before Robison emerged as a truly world-class kepper (I still have nightmares about it) but at the time the Cudinchi was the No 1 kepper in the premiership and was found to be avalable for selection after playing in England for 5 years, he was asked if he wanted to play for England by both the FA and a lads Mags (Nuts or Zoo) to which he repiled that he was very flattered to be asked and it would be a great honour to represent such a great country as England but it would not be right as he is Italian and could really only play for his own country

My choice is based on the premis that Rooney will not be fit for the opening game and therefore shouldn't be chosen on the off-chance we get as far as the semi's when he might be just about OK to walk without a stick!
Robinson, Green, James
A.Cole, Bridge, Terry, Ferdinand, Carragher, King (if King isn't fit then Campbell), G.Neville, Young
Carrick, Gerrard, Lampard, J.Cole, Beckham, Downing, Lennon
Owen, Defoe, Bent, Crouch, Ashton
I'd play either 4-1-4-1 or 4-3-3...
Robinson
A.Cole, Terry, Carragher, Neville
Carrick
J.Cole, Lampard, Gerrard, Beckham
Owen
Robinson
A.Cole, Terry, Carragher, Neville
Lampard, Carrick, Gerrard
J.Cole, Owen, Lennon
I'd also strip Beckham of the captaincy and give it to either Terry or Gerrard

So who do the jocks play in the group stage of the World Cup again as I cannot see their name amongst the 32 qualifiers.
I searched on google and when I entered Scotland and Germany 2006 qualifiers it came back and said your having a laugh arent you.
Funny that.
Perhaps the jocks are concentating on the 2010 World Cup, I bet they dont qualify AGAIN.

ah the bitter jock, just cos scottish football is such a joke dosent mean you have to take it out on the English but then again it's probbley our fault anyway i mean any problem in scotland's the english's fault. Anyhows back to the football the scottish team is laughable I mean you guy's actually think Darren Flecter is a great midfielder and his midfield partner Nigel Quashie speaks with if I'm not very much mistaken with what is very much an English accent (he was born in Nunhead in the London Borough of Southwark) and as for the state of your league football you only have to look at Gretna (a former English Northen league team) who are rampaging up the leagues . So in other words those who live in glass house's really should'nt throw stones

Ccrfter you laugh but you have a crop of players that drew 1-1 with New Zealand lost 4-0 to Wales and have never gone past the group stage of any tournament in their miserable footballing history.
Trinidad vs Scotland would be a very, very competetive match.
