Question about DVD recorders/DVD dubbing

I've recently acquired a new Sony DVD recorder (RDRHX710 i think) and one thing i've been wanting to do is use it to help me compile some of my porn. I've got a lot of DVDs with say, only one scene of interest on each disc, so i want to put them all onto the one disc.
I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to burning discs, its all the different recording/dubbing speeds that get me.
As I understand it, if I use the highest quality mode to transfer scenes onto my hard drive and then onto a DVD-R, I'm not going to fit much stuff onto the disc, probably less than an hour.
What's the best combination of dubbing speeds to use? So far I've dubbed quite a bit onto the hard drive using the HQ (highest quality) setting, but i'm guessing that I'll have to use a lower quality setting to dub stuff onto discs. Ideally I'd like to put about 2 hours worth onto each disc.
The DVD-RWs that I've got say '1x.....4x' one them.
can anyone help?
