Apparently treating Scientology with the contempt it deserves has resulted in a backlash from Tom Cruise ,Issac Hayes and other lala land nutters. One hilarious episode which ridicules both Scientology, which qualifies as a religion in the USA and the unprepossessing Mr Cruise has been denied a rerun by pressure from the Hollywood Scientology crew which sadly includes John Travolta.

I watched the episode in question here today. It's pretty good, but I wouldn't put it in my top 10 ever South Park episodes.

The best bit is the end credits...after Stan has ended the show by daring the Church of Scientology to sue him, we see the entire show was put together by John Smith and Jane Smith.

They've given other religions a far harder time of it, to be fair, and all the stuff they take the piss out of is true.

One interesting rumour I have been hearing is that Isaac Hayes didn't quit South Park, but instead someone at the CoS quit it for him.

So, watch and enjoy, and gloat because Tom Cruise can't stop you!

As Matt and Trey point out, Isaac had no problems ridiculing Christianity, Judaism, Islam etc, but took a severe hump when his church was in the firing line.

By the way, not suggesting it's in the contract for any relatively low-profile actresses when they hook up with the Cruiser, but isn't it odd how they seem to get involved in Scientology? Didn't see wee Tam rushing to join the RCs when he and his beard Katie got together.

Which is precisely the reason his relationship with Sofia Vergara didn't last....
