Walk The Line - BLINDING film!

Following hot on the heels of two of the worst films I can ever recall viewing, Green Street and the truly pathetic Last Days, I was chuffed to see an absolute cracker in the visually stunning Jarhead and followed up that belter with the fucking fantastic Walk The Line. By God are the lead actors in this good, if you dig Johnny Cash or just fancy chilling for a few hours I heartily big this gem up.

It also demands to be seen on the big screen rather than some pikey copy as the gigging scenes are the bollocks and need a big ole sound system to do them justice. This film is the absolute bollocks and features a whole heap of Cash classics including his brilliant tribute to a vindaloo takeout, "Ring Of Fire."

Word of warning. Both Jarhead and Walk The Line feature gratuitous scenes of Americans which might prove disturbing for some.

Hi Rude Boy

Been wanting to see this myself. Do they re-create the Folsom Prison concert?

No Jimmy not in its entirety (oviously) but they do have a small piece at the end where he sings Cocaine Blues and its very good.

Loved the film. I love Johnny Cash and had serious misgivings about seeing Joaquin Pheonix play him but I have to say he was so good it didnt feel like watching an actor.

I have to say that I thought Reese Witherspoon was even better.

Go see it!

I'm with you on this Rudy. I thought both leads were fantastic - Joaquin Phoenix is getting more attention as Cash because the part is more dramatic, but speaking as someone who hasn't seen any Reese Witherspoon films I thought she was pretty astonishing too.

Great care has been taken with the film. The period details seem pretty spot-on, and the casting of characters such as Elvis and Jerry Lee is excellent too.
