Man Utd crash out

yes, I laughed my tits off, as I'm sure Roy Keane did as well.
What I would have given to see the Glazers faces when they realised they had lost a possible ?15m revenue for progression into the Champions League.
On the subject, well done to Alex McLeish for getting a credible 1-1 draw and qualifying. They won't win, but the extra revenue for Rangers should keep him in a job. Thoroughly deserved.

This could well spell the end of Man Utd as a major club.
Having spent most of this season's budget last season on Wayne Rooney, SAF will probably have to sell before he can buy. One player who I think will want out is van Nistleroy. Since Beckham left he's received little or no service from out wide, and his frustration is begining to show. A decent offer from a big Italian or Spanish club and he'll be off.
For all his dazzling footwork, Christiano Ronaldo is a waste of space as 90% of his final touches either go out of play or are easily cut out by opponents.
Players to be "cleared out" must include perenial under-achievers such as Wes Brown, Mikael Silvestre, Alan Smith and Louis Saha, all of whom are no doubt on fairly hefty wages, too! Will the Glazers be able to resist a bid of say, ?3m for Giggs. And once he's had his testimonial, Solskjaer will be on his way out too.
So who does that leave?
Either van der Saar or Howard in goal; Neville, Heinze, O'Shea and Ferdinand at the back; Park, Scholes, Fletcher/Richardson and A N Other in midfield and Rooney and A N Other up front. A couple injuries and they'll be putting out a side no stronger than Everton, West Ham or Birmingham!
When SAF is sacked (well, we'll be told he's "retiring" to help him save face) at the end of the season, there will no doubt be plenty of managers interested in the job, but none of the calibre required. After all, what top manager would want that job? Not quite the poisoned chalice of Real Madrid, admitedly, but the Glazers will need to see money coming in to help pay-off their large loans. So, top players out and ticket prices up are the likeliest solutions.
I'm pissing myself laughing already!!

No doubt one team will be thrown out of the competition for dubious reasons and Man Ure will be invitied back in.
Rules don't apply to Merchandise Utd.

Finishing 4th is a real nightmare,money wise
No champions league and No minor Euro trophy to chase
Good of them to put their fans out of their misery rather than waiting to the quarters or semis to self destruct
Guess this means the EPL might be a real contest coming donw the home straight
As for Rangers going anywhere, all depends on the draw
Compared to the other teams from the British Isles their 1-4-1 record was abysmal given their group had the distinction of having 3 teams that won 1 out of 6 matches played.Inter Milan were simply going through the motions having already won the group by a country mile
Most of the remaining Big name teams would eat them alive
cheers

Great things come to and end. Fergie has run out of golden boys with keane and Beckham hitting the road. Stam was a bad sale and Giggs, Scholes etc seem happy to play out heir careers for big money, with or without success.
Ronaldo needs dumped and Van Nist shown where the goal is.
They need to re-build, it will take years and cost ?100+ so I hope the Glazers are in for the long term.
