Harry Redknapp ... top geezer!!

Harry always seems to be portrayed as a top cockney bloke who always tells it like it is. But with his apparent return to Portsmouth on the cards it seems to me like he will go down in the history of management as the biggest self-centred Judas ever.
This was a club he walked out on almost a year ago, citing interference from the chairman and the impending appointment of a director of football,
He then left to join fellow Premiership side Southampton who he promptly got relegated, now it seems that languishing in the middle of the Championship with Southampton and the job vacancy at Portsmouth has made him have a change of heart again and his best interests might lie back in the Premiership where he seems to think he belongs.
Where is the loyalty in football these days, with over-paid players and managers having all the power and no respect for those who seem to pay their wages.
It's a funny old game Saint.

Not that I'm suggesting anything about Mr Redknapp's honesty, but he seems to have a nervous affliction that gives him the appearance of someone constantly looking over his shoulder in case the rozzers are heading his way.

Going to Southampton from Portsmouth and back again, he's asking for bother; it doesn't say much for his integrity either, despite the fact I've always liked Harry. Him and Mandaric are buddies again, so it's the old pals act I'm afraid......until Mando gets ideas above his station and appoints another continental director of football.
Where does the rivalry stem from? I heard it has its origins in WW2, where the ships at Portsmouth required aerial cover for a journey that had to be made, due to the persistent bombing of docks/ ports at the time..... and Southampton refused! Or was it the other way about?

what makes you think he'd go to Portsmouth? That would be two relegations in subsequent seasons with two different clubs! Unless he's going for the Alan Ball school of management!

I think it started with a dockers strike and instead of coming out in sympathy with the Southampton lot, some Portsmouth geezers jumped the picket line and did their jobs.
PS
I hope I haven't got that the wrong way around. Apologies if I have.

It maybe that Mandaric has seen the error of his ways as up to 12 months ago, until he stuck his nose in with that Zajec nonsense, then Pompey were a mid table side and in a decent position.
You also have to ask whether Redknapp is worse off at Southampton as he always had a reputation for being a wheeler dealer but Rupert Lowe handles that side at Southampton so Harry can't dip his toes in.
Add the Clive Woodward scenario as well then he might be better off away from Southampton. Remember Ruprt Lowe seems to have a new manager every year or so and it's common knowledge that he is very difficult to get along with.
So maybe Harry will decide that Portsmouth is the lesser of two evils.

He can look forward to Christmas at home this year... Portsmouth no longer want him and he says he won't go back to Southampton!
I shan't post what a friend of mine, who's a West Ham fan, thinks of him, but crap overpaid, overpriced foreign players and bungs come into it.
