In my opinion the coolest ever TV show, the Avengers (the Emma Peel episodes in colour) are showing on BBC 4 on Thursday nights at 7.00pm, starting this Thursday. They are showing all 24 colour episodes, incidently this was the first British progamme to be made in colour at a time when there were virtually no colour televisions in the UK.

Has there ever been a female lead sexier than Diana Rigg as Emma Peel and has there ever been a male lead cooler than Patrick Macnee as Steed? The chemistry between them, which I missed a lot of first time round as I was a mere babe in arms is electric.

I actually watched them first time round, in b&w as we didn't have a colour tv and have never seen the whole series in colour. Going out now to buy a DVD recorder to capture them all onto DVD!

fave girls for me were diana rigg,just right for steed,honor blackman v.g always on the ball like diana,linda thorson seemed a bit too young but ok after a while.
