I like the Kojak report on Birmingham .... obviously filmed in the 70's, but ...

Modern Railway Terminal ---- HA HA !!!

Multi Lane Motorways ---- doesn't live up to LA, but if multi means more than ONE, it's factually correct

'You feel like you've been projected into the 21st century' .... maybe he was forecasting the IRA bombs

I hate brummies, the bottless JAXIE bastards were no where when me old grandad and the Black Country boyz were doing the industrial Revo gig back in the day!

Having said that they are well trained in the art of rioting so beware you southern love monkeys what you write about these well armed and trained hoodies. They might just throw a brick through your window?

Remember a brummie does life not just christmas........

Brummies also have an accent that the rest of the country would live to acquire, that marvellous accent. "Bustin".

Its "Bostin" actually Sydney. And thats not actually the Birmingham accent, its the Black Country accent which is totally different.

I live on the edge of Birmingham and while I have to admit that some it is
awful (and the recent Lozells rioting do not help) the city has undergone a
major transformation in the last 10 or 15 years.

For example the canals in the city centre now look like this

There is the new Bull Ring shopping centre

There is the upmarket MailBox shopping complex

The convention centre

And the Symphony Hall

(Just trying to do my little bit to change the image of Birmingham)

Tequila is absolutley right. When (Londoncentric) TV companies make shows with a supposed Brummie in it, the accent is a black country one.Which is quite different from Birmingham.

An actor from London playing a Brummie and having him talk like someone from Dudley is bit like playing a Scouser with a Wigan accent

A funny website though

"I live on the edge of Birmingham"

Well if you lived in Birmingham like Sparkbrook, Hockley, Aston, Small Heath, you'd say what a SHIT PITT so I,m guessing you are Solihull, Bournville, Olton, Bartley Green or one of the other what what what areas of this lands second city.

?200,0000000,000000,0000000,000000,000 spent on re building Brum yet the ROTUNDA still stands with an ALIEN disc like already dated looking thingy standing in it's shadow.

So what does a Brummie and a Yogurt have in common?
They are both thick and TASTELESS!

OK dudes so the old stripeysydney may have got his geographical accents all in a muddle but to those living inside the M25 (alwight geezers) everyone speaks with rather a strange tongue and baths twice on a Tuesday so getting the Brummies Scummies mixed up with us old skool black country boyz aint such a big thing.

Mind you the wanabe BCB's do rather get a tad upset!
