How is the Industry reacting to Peak Oil?

I'm not really one to panic. I mentioned this topic at work and my colleagues laughed at me. So I guess this is the only place I hope to get an honest opinion and advice.

As an amateur, I was wondering whether the pending (that's debatable) "post industrial stone age" might affect the Industry and, if so, then in which way?

well, the Romans and the Egyptians both knew how to enjoy themselves, so its back to the temples and amphitheatres for us.

the form remains only the delivery method has changed.

Many thanks for the great links! It's nice to learn something new.

I think it'll affect porn and other media less than most other industries.

Plastic will rise in price, and so will shipping, so DVDs will go up in price a bit. But then who'll be using DVDs in 5 years time anyway? There will be less international travel, so industries will become more localised.

It doesn't just apply to this business, but anyone who does a lot of car mileage will either need to be rich soon or get fit and buy a bike. The ?2 litre of petrol can't be too far off.
