If memory serves, Manfred Mann was the group, Manfred Manne was their leader.

Originally called Manfred Ludowitz from South Africa and the original singer was Paul Jones who now acts and presents the odd TV show!

in 1970 manfred mann chapter three,then in 1972 came the earthband.

jones left in 1966 to go solo,mike d"abo took over always thought they looked alike mike wrote handbags&gladrags in 1967.

Very true - I always thought it was Paul Jones that sang "The Mighty Quinn" but it was Mike D'Abo!
I'm sure Paul Jones joined them for a tour sometime in the 90's? Might be wrong though....
