I avoid ITV like the plague. Television for Trisha audiences.
Oh, and off topic, Steve, I see they've released a box set of The Baron, and also Man In A Suitcase. I know you're a fan of those 60s shows.

I wouldn't know. The day I sit down and watch trailer trash displaying their dirty laundry in public is the same day I volunteer to become a brain donor.

As enjoyable as some of the clips and commentary were, this show clearly showed up what is wrong with ITV. Firstly, we had the cringe-inducing "awards ceremony" presentation with Philip "twarty-vigitusssssss" Schofield and Cat "on every show" Deeley and the realisation (especially as it entered the Top 10) that it was merely a back-slapping exercise of gargantuan proportions for the wankers that make these shows. Now, one cannot argue with Corrie at number one, or the presence of Inspector Morse, Cracker, Emmerdale, The Muppet Show or even Minder, but "I'm a z-lister, Get Me Out Of Here!" at number 6 or Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Piss-Take the SECOND BEST ITV SHOW EVER TO GRACE OUR SCREENS? Give me strength.......

Didn't see it, but I take it it was tied in with that atrocious ITV 50 ident ad currently airing (Rigsby, Tommy Cooper etc mingling with today's celebs in a vain attempt to insinuate the present is as good as the past). A rank, and rather queasy, old-hat idea that's not even technically accomplished but does, without meaning to, sum up much that is wrong with the channel as a whole.
