Just watched the repeat of the Sky show "The Greatest Cricketer Ever" so lets have your opinions.

For me it's got to be Bradman.

His average says it all.

Bradman as a batter yes, but maybe the greatest cricketer has to be an allrounder? Sobers was world class in all three areas, batting, bowling and fielding

Bradman? Jardine? W.G. Grace? Botham? Richards?

What is for sure is the Bodyline Series was the best period of cricket.

Cricket is a game requiring masters of different disciplines.

An all-rounder, even the best, is still essentially a jack-of-all-trades.

That is where these polls fall apart - the question has to be more specific, or not posed at all.

Best spinner, best fast bowler etc.

If you were going to pick anyone then its always going to be Bradman

Players today have the best conditions,protected pitches & mediocre opposition but still can't get close to Bradmans average

Botham best all rounder, fuckin hard nut too and could quite easily out drink anyone as well.

Both was a class act but not in the same league as sobers who was dominant over all sides, Bothams record vs the top team at the time the Windies was dire and a batting average of 33 compares to Sobers 57 shows the difference.

as for boozing I think David Boon (the dwarf from lord of the rings) holds the record for most beers on the flight between Oz and the UK at 52!!!

The first two are the best all rounders that have ever played the game, Richards is the best batsman and one of the best fielders ive ever seen and Warne is the best bowler thats ever picked up a ball, i never saw Bradman but his record is fantastic..
