Was It Something I Said?.

I have just been on the telephone, booking a week at a bed and breakfast in Londonderry (although my prospective landlady insisted I refer to it as Derry).
After giving me details about the accomodation on offer, she went on a bit about the lovely countryside and the fresh air.
I humoured her by replying "I can't wait to sniff that Derry air of yours", whereupon she unleashed a torrent of abuse and slammed the phone down.
Not being familiar with that part of the world, I must ask if I have committed some sort of faux-pas?.
