Not the new one that looks very good, but the original film from the 50's which I watched instead of Live8.
Its so dated, but brilliant, especially the crowds fleeing the city in a civilised manner, all orderly and proper........unlike the mad panic you normally see when leaving a venue with a rush to the car park today.

Acting versus special effects
I know which I find more appealing...tom cruise & acting...opposite poles
Saw his hit flick Top Goose last night while channel flicking between the tennis, cricket(a tie-boring)...i've a seen a dummy with more expressions
Love to waffle on but I've got to venture out into the real world now
The back yard...war of the weeds...their everywhere...AAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!
The sour sobs still taste ok
cheers

Don't waste you time.
CRAP. Reasonable effects but other that that it's dire.
Stick with the book, the 1950's film, or,as Chuubs suggests, the jeff Wayne musical version.

Well if you don't set the film in Woking then its a bit pointless calling it "War of the Worlds" - other than to hope that some of the kudos from the title of a classic book rubs off onto your latest cgi idea-free movie.
