War is good for an economy ... it's what pulled the US out of the Great Depression (WW2) when everything else failed. In human terms it may be bad, but for economic, technological and egotistical reasons they're good. The world wouldn't be what it was today without war - the good, the bad and Clint Eastwood (although he's not ugly).

Uh-huh. So what's new T? There nothing quite like carving out a legacy for ones self and the best way into the history books is to authorise a war. This will make you the stuff of legend, whether you win or lose.

Theres nothing like a good old fashioned war to bring about sweeping changes.

This is the same George Bush who it was said last week (by Geldof, but hear me out) has done more for Africa than any other US President in history?

"why don't he give some money to the poor?" sounds like the whine of a man in possesion of very few facts and a grudge against The Great Satan.

"why don't he give some money to the poor?"

1) Nice sentiment I agree.

2) Which enlightened government should he give it too? Most of them I wouldn't trust with a rusty bicycle!

3) The poor would have the majority stolen by their thieving, corrupt officials If it ever got that far.

4) Giving money is not a solution in itself. Charity dependancy is humiliating & debilitating. Self sufficency is the answer.

5) These governments do not want self sufficiency. Control of hearts/minds & stomachs is their goal.

6) Take control of the money & it's distribution then you are a racist, Imperialist, American wanting to "steal their countries resources."

A vicious circle & I don't have an answer.
