I understand down here there are 3 reasons for the hoodies (sometimes worn over a baseball cap worn over a bandana).
!. Imitating crims (as is the fashion from the States of wearing baggy pants with the crotch level with your knees based on prison garb allegedly).
2. Actual crims who don't want to be recognized on security cameras and
3. Drug-induced paranoia.

I wear mine for 3 reasons
1. keep the sun away from me lillywhite skin(if you think I'm going to use sunscreen everytime I step out doors or wear a hat,cap or beanie and end up with a hairstyle to rival yahoo serious you've got another thing coming
2. keep the rain away(umbrellas have been banned from aussie rules matches no matter what the weather & garbage bags just dont do it)
3. when me red balaklava, lime green headband & silver reflecto sunnies are in the wash
As i said before if you don't give the kids something to do thats free or at lest inexpensive they will just wonder the streets and cause mayhem.
cheers

And good on lakeside for doing it. Now the cctv cameras can actually see the faces of people that shop there and function as required.

Yesterday I was hobbling on my crutches to a well known eatery Chez Mac's,
As I struggled past the adults and one member of staff to get to the door. Guess what.
A bloody hoody came up, called out, then opened the outside door, then came in and opened the inside door. I thanked him, he smiled and left.
Dont judge all books from their covers, I live on an estate with loads of hoody's hanging round, and most of them are decent kids, if you take the time to say hello, since I 've been slightly injured, these kids have help walk my dogs, clean my wagon and even help clean the yard, they aren't all out to rob you.

That's not on, Marino. Without using the hoods (and the Chav gear, and all other pointers to "bad 'uns"), we might actually have to think for ourselves and judge people on their merits rather than their attire or appearance.
Can't see it catching on.

Just wish a few more people would keep open minds rather than letting the middle class newspapers tell them what to think.
