Excellent site Wooders.
Generation X!
Pretty good back in the day but this cracked me up:
"Little William Broad was a big tosser even then, before he started calling himself Billy Idol. We used to call him the punk Cliff Richard, because that's what we thought he looked like... When Generation X were playing, (in fact they were the first band to play the Roxy), we'd all be throwing shit at them, because even then, Billy Idol was a wanker." Gareth Holder from The Shapes
Billy Idol's best moment came with his way ahead of its time album Cyberpunk.
Shame he's vanished.

For real!!!
Is it available over here and is it new material?
Is it any good?
The last one I got was his greatest hits.
He missed a golden one with rejecting Don't You Forget About Me.
Total anthem after The Breakfast Club.

Holden, I'm sure you know that Gen X's bassist, Tony James went on to form Sigue Sigue Sputnik, but he is now with Mick Jones (ex Clash and B.A.D) fronting the excellent Carbon/Silicon. You really should check them out
