No he hasn't. It was just usual internet rumour bullshit. He's alive and well and living in LA.

Always best to check reliable news outlets before posting these things, Steve. I checked the BBC entertainment site, and he seems to be one of the few musicians who hasn't died in the last few days.

It may have been posted in good faith, Steve. Given who he is, and what he achieved, he would have featured on a legitimate news site. Best to check rather than rely on word of mouth (or word of keyboard).
