What a lamentable record since winning the champions league in 5 years ago

Man U lose 0-1 at home

Still they can take solace in the fact that their 2 BIG NAME premiership rivals self destructed as well

Arsenal destroyed 3-1 away

10 man Chelsea lose 1-2 away

The only shining light,Liverpools 3-1 demolition at Home of which the media have wasted no time in replaying another Jerzy Dudek-lack of ball control special-he blames the ball

Our scorline was flattering, Barca destroyed us, we were lucky to get the away goal. Drogba WAS warned several times by the ref as he was putting it about quite a lot, but IMO should have been subbed before his 2nd yellow.
All round, a fair result from what I saw

Little point in dominating if you can't put the ball in the net?

Chelsea scored the vital away goal right in the middle of all that Barcelona Dominance with a clinical counter attack and it took them another 30 minutes of DOMINANCE to even score.Says to me their either not that great at converting or chelseas defence really is as good as its premiership record suggests when its got 11 players on the pitch.

Now its just a case of shutting them down and grinding out a 1-0 to progress.

Better that position than Arsenal or Man U who both 2-0 results to progess

I wonder who Ferguson will aim the boot at if they lose given Bechkams no within range ;-)

They would be better off if Glazer took over in charge.

Hopefully he would move them to Tampa Bay as well. For the majority it would have no affect at all because Sky would still have them on TV every week and for those who go to the games, it would only be a slightly longer journey.

One thing i will give Fergie he is always gracious in defeat while Chelsea have avery good side and should turn the tie round their manager is a pain in the arse like wenger he will not become a great manger like fergie until he learns that making up excuses like he did after wednsdays match only make him look pathetic.

I was at Anfield to see Liverpool beat Bayer Leverkusen and it was a great night for us although fucking cold.

However a word of caution. Thanks to Dudeks howler the away goal has opened up the tie. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Roma and Inter have all come away from the Bay Arena with a defeat in the last few years and Bayer are one hell of a home side.

That said I still think we'll progress but I do think that we'll have to score over there to do so.

As for the others then I think Arsenal are cooked as I think Bayern Munich will be to organised and professional for them and in truth after there performance in Germany then they deserve to go out.

I watched the Man Utd game on the tele and they are two closely matched teams but the victory and away will send them out and make Hertsfordshire, Bucks and Essex miserable places when they do.

Chelsea got a great result in my book. A slim deafeat with an away goal and they will go through.

Love him or hate him Mourinho has something about him.

We will see

No other game in the world where predicting logical outcomes is usually the kiss of death

Given who Mourinho has worked with in the past
ten years its little wonder he has the IT factor

Lets not forget while he won Champions League with Porto last year he also lost the Portuguese Cup to Benfica so he's not invincible
