I take it will be about 3 tracks long? Along with Dylan, The Clash,and The Beatles, NY is premier division in the overrated musicians club. I have tried to listen to several of his albums but apart form Weld, the live album not a thing stirs me.

Sorry, Heathray, but it looks like you're in a minority here. Some of Young's stuff can be awful, but the majority of it is excellent.

Errmm....I know that Young's stuff is variable, but 'The Beatles', overrated? They were probably the most influential, prolific and consistently good white band ever, and I speak as someone who's not particularly into them. 'Dylan' brought folk into pop/rock, and his legacy is still in every heart-on-sleeve, wailing wannabe out there. He deserves recognition. 'The Clash' was a time and place thing; but it was a helluva time and place. Ah, the sweet smell of Brixton.

Any of the aforementioned stack up well against the current crop of bands/singers. Somewhere along the way people forgot about music, and the way it's supposed to make an audience feel, and we got Robbie Williams, Blazin' Squad and Rachel Stevens instead.

Yonks ago at college someone came in and put Decades on the studio stereo. I'd never heard much of Young till then. I went out and bought it the same afternoon. Must have something going for him.

Decade is superb---and he got up Lynnard Skynnard's nose, so that must mean something.
