How come one disc plays on one player but not on another? The only difference being the model types. They have the same regions, both made in the same year and made in the same country etc,. How odd!

It might be the coding on the DVD that's the problem. I have one DVD that plays in black and white on one player but plays in full colour on another much older player and this is due to the coding on the DVD itself.

Usually when the DVD plays in black and white then it is an NTSC disc so it "might" be that your player doesn't play NTSC's?

True, I had one of those bargain dvd packages a while back! , ?50 quid for the dvd player and allsorted (crap low budget films that usually star van dame or mcdowell:@) anyway ,that dvd player looks old and is quite a size and had bit of a lip sync problem but i will tell u this!...the older the player the more discs it will play..... plays my rw disc with no problems the players i have brought since aint a patch on this old one .....so thanks jeremy beadle nice offer you had there :)
