I believe we are getting an extra 2 days holiday because Xmas fell at the weekend,so anyone know when the Royal Mail is expected to return??.

Appreciate that...seen no posters up regarding this holiday arrangement,as usual,we have to guess these things,just like when is the dustman next due(but I won't go down that road,no pun intended).

What is normal service with the royal mail??

just walked past my local post office and they were closed about a hour ago.

Post Office & The actual Royal Mail don't all work the same hours. Royal Mail runs shifts 24 hours, depending on what part of the country your in. Post Office may not resume as normal yet, depending on your area i supose??
Royal Mail are back to normal as of this morning, which means posties should have something to deliver. Wednesday, Thursday & Fridays should be some deliverys of post. Saturday is new years day so there may not be any deliveries then, as most of the work force will be on a day off. After new years day things should be properly back to normal.

Well I got a lovely letter and a card of me gran, which was fine, but she,s been dead 6 years.
