still maintain that whilst im pro people with disabilities inclusion in the working world, i dont see how someone who cannot see can operate within the role of home secretary....and at the risk of pissing off a lotta people who want to say "a blind person would be grateful to see ANYTHING" ...well he hasnt ever had to see how god awful those photographs really are so it doesnt bother him. i def do not want ID cards. passports and driving licenses must cover a massive percent of the population. Just make old paper licenses in need of updating to photo if you INSIST on regulating us all.

Not strictly true that 'ID cards are a part of everyday life in the US'.

While it's certainly true that you need state or govt issued photo ID to gain access to bars and clubs and to buy ciggarettes and alcohol, there's no compulsory ID card scheme here in the US.
