You have downloaded an .exe file, a re-direction programme- ie, a dialler probably as well, install and run this programme.

then look in ie-helpers, it should show all the add ons, and the culprit should be in there. Delete it. try this first, then always surf with win patrol it will tell you when you have d/loaded a dialler or something else.
Also go to

and run it from the web page, it will take a while to load, but will find any virus, when it finishes delete all trojans/virus etc.

Also go into start/ find files /folders, and type in casinopalazzo, see if there are any folders withthat name, delete them, you really need to find the d/loaded programme, ie the .exe file, let me know how you go on.....

AGAIN!!!!!

The best preventitive program I ever downloaded after Winpatrol has been IE-Spyad...simply blocks sites that are known to use trojans, malware, dialers etc

Everything else can be found at

Good advice Buttsie, the problem is it,s already down loaded, and in his system, so running a scan program like win patrol or using trends virus scan while online might be his best way out, I personally would find the fucka and get rid of it, but thats very complicated to explain here, as you know, any programme that notices changes to your reg/dir are a must when trawling the web, I have not used IE spyad, as mostly they are looking for adware, and not programme/registry changes........
If people took the time to check out some of the freeware in the locker, thier web life would be a bit easier, dont ya think?

True

Was just adding my pennies worth for future protection

Prevention is better than removal which is why I see the likes of
IE-Spyad,Spyblaster and Spybot(to a lesser extent) as essentials especially if you loathe firewalls like I do

Adaware,CW Shredder & Trend Micro can do the mopping up

I hear CW shredder is no longer being updated...1.59 is it

Which probably means Cool Web Search is going to have a field day

Your best bet CW Shredder

Simply download from one of the mirror sites and run

This version 1.59 is the last one available so no need to ever hit update

If it doesn't run then you might be infected with the coolwebsearch trojan
which has a fix down the bottom of this same link

If that doesn fix it

Downloaded adaware - available in the miscellaneous section under lizards locker-technical tips or from ,

Once you've downloaded it you need to,

1. check for updates
2. just run scan
3. you may need to adjust the settings top right 4th from the right to cover a wider area.....a custom scan is the one recommeded...if you want a quick scan avoid ticking 'scan within archives'

last but not least if you are running anti-virus software-disable it...scanning is much quicker with it off-on my computer anyway

If your after more specific instructions try the forums & Question & answers on the sites above
