Racism gone mad

I've heard it all now. The parish vicar at Kings Norton in Birmingham has complained that the local historic boozer, the Saracens Head, should be renamed because it's offensive to Muslims! The former pub sign depicted a christian holding the head of a muslim but that was changed years ago. The vicar said there ought to be some brilliant ideas for the renaming of the pub. Even the local muslim community think it's a stupid idea.

I saw a few clips of The Young Ones the other night on BBC1...........bet some of those won't get repeated, even if they were penned by Ben Elton and Rik Mayall.

* The 'N' word was used, a word Ron Atkinson said once

Most of the time the community that is offended will tell you if it is offended.

Most of the time these name changes are just done by a bunch of people trying to be "right on".

AS a member of an ethnic minority myself, there is some language that is offensive but in the most the most dangerous racism is in no way as visible as the name of a pub.

There are much more insiduous forms of racism that exist and are worth fighting.

Claims like this just cloud the issue and cause real battles to lose their support

I was running our golf club's junior open on Monday. A parent was talking about a school sports day where nobody was allowed to win in case it upset the losers! Political correctness is going too far, our school sports usually ended in a fight!

Banning winning is pointless

You'd have to blind fold them and silence their ears for them not to know they'd come 2nd

Logic would say a better method would be to get them to beat their own times not each other

Sports day for me was hell on earth

I was Long Distance Runner but they always picked me to do the sprint & power events 100,200,400 & 800metres,long Jump, highjump, hurdles because I was TALL- I improved year after year but i still came last in all of them every year

Had my revenge in a 15km Run....ran rings around them

cheers

Things are gettin' out of hand, these poncy PC fuckers are making life very tedious. So, in order to deal with the problem I propose a national 'Beat a Bureaucrat Day'. It would be great fun and would cheer us 'normal' folks up no end. The day would begin with a brisk stroll down to Mr Patel?s where everyone would purchase a copy of the Guardian. Then, back home, after rolling said Guardian up very tightly and giving it a quick soak in a bowl of water it would be out onto the street with a growing sense of excitement and anticipation of bumping into our first ?bureaucrat?. Then, when the first local government batty boy hooves into view we could rush over and lace into them with our damp, weighty Guardians uttering battle cries of ?Take that yer? poncy fucker!? ? C OSH! Stitch this yer tiresome tosser! ? BIFF! and ?Ere, get some fuckin? ?counselling for this! ? WALLOP! Oh yes, what fun it would be.

But seriously, some commentators have suggested that, now the cold war, left/right, free market socialism argument has been settled, the next big political divide will be between those who want to keep making more and more rules and regulations (Labour, Liberals, Greens, Guardian Readers) and a public who will get increasingly irritated, and indeed pissed off, at being told what hoops to jump through, how high, where and when. Personally, I?m pissed off already and do all I can, whenever I can, to subvert these poncy PC cunts and their rules ?n? regulations.

The answer is not to vote for any off the main political parties, because in actual fact they are all very similar, it is they who are doing it to you. They make new laws and regulations just to give themselves and their pals something to do, cushy jobs where they never get the sack, no matter how useless they are. All the bureaucratic bollocks that assails us now is down to government and local government wankers trying to justify themselves and their salaried jobs - salaries that are being taxed off real people, who are providing real services and making or selling real products. So, tell ?em to fuck off and get off our backs, were not standing for it any more.

Officer Dibble ? rabble rousing again.
