Okay, I'm thick and (very) new to computers, so I am struggling a bit with the "Torrent" software mentioned on these forums.

Can anyone please spare a couple of minutes to explain what I need to do as I cannot get it up and running as it seems to require 2 or three downloads (according to what i read on the abi titmuss thread).

Please? C'mon, help a bonehead!

Bittorent is extremely fast when there are a lot of people downloading and uploading ("seeding") as it makes use of the downstream and upstream at the same time - much more efficient than p2p but it does rely on the good will of users to keep torrents alive after they have got them - least a 50% ratio is fair.

How long should a download take? I have braodband but I am still on 0% "connecting to peers" and have been for about 30 mins...Is this normal? Tia
