Agreed, Perfect was shite. But one should look at Ninn's work from the right perspective. Don't look at it as a straight no-nonsense porn movie. If that's what you want or were expecting you?d be better off with a good German housewife shag film. If you want art, inspiration, beautiful erotic images set to music then checkout some of Ninn's better works, for instance, Dream Catcher and Dark Garden. The latter features some of the most sumptuously textured images and cinematography I have seen anywhere. Ninn's films are mesmeric, and best enjoyed in a quite darkened room after one has imbued at least half a bottle of Beaujolais, or indeed, half a joint of Afghan Skunk.

So, it's horses for courses. Sometimes I'm in the mood for Ninn, other times I might prefer Frau Bosch, being shafted by rampant nephew Kurt.

I've always found his story lines weird to say the least
and the only things worth watching in his films are his use of the close-up
on the girls faces during the sex

Sometimes well done and other times repetitive

He does tend to pick models that have Cold steely eyes for this very purpose IMO...vicca,nikita,lea martini etc

For the record I've seen Latex,Shock,Dark Garden & Diva Girls,Diva Girls 3 & 4

Binned all of them along time ago

Personally I'm staying well clear of his works

cheers

The only Michael Ninn movie I saw was 'Forever Night', I thought it was pretty good, but weird as well...it featured Phantoms, ghosts..and the Devil shagging...the girls in it were dressed in victorian costumes....well filmed, good performances by the girls in it. Not really seen any of the other movies Ninn has made but I have heard of them. Hes picked up a few awards for his movies. But as some of you have said hes movies are not every ones cup of tea.

I seen a few Ninn flicks but my favourite would have to be Fade to Blue (1998)

Link: Fade To Blue @ IAFD.com

Vicca in the Diner, Asia Carrera on the piano ? playing and shagging, Nikita with Marc Davis on the lawn furniture minus the lawn, Juli Ashton at the Gas Station ? solo, he/she, she/she, she/he/he watched by she. Oh, and Houston ? Yuck! ? was in it too.

For me it was the mood. The mystique. Ninn managed to evoke many of the classic icons of America.

The waitress in the Diner dancing to a sultry tune on the jukebox.

The solitary Gas Station ? a place no one ever goes to, just a place they stop at before moving on.

The grand piano in the middle of the desert played mournfully by a beautiful Eurasian woman from New Jersey.

The Trailer Home with furniture outside because there?s not enough room inside. The convertible. The Bobbysoxer. The English guy taking photos of the Bobbysoxer naked on the lawn furniture in the middle of the desert before banging her six ways from Sunday.

All the classics.

Actually the sexiest thing for me wasn?t the various acts of physical intimacy but Juli Ashton alone, naked save for a cowboy hat, dripping motor oil onto herself. Oh, Golly Gosh!

Well, I liked it.

I also liked New Wave Hookers (1997) ? Ninn dipping his fly in Gregory Dark?s ointment, so to speak.

Especially the black and white scenes at the start and the end. Another American icon ? the Residential Hotel Lobby. The desk-clerk, the transients, the derelicts, the whores. The moneyed man who won?t be recognised nor remembered but will be welcomed back at any time.

And Roxanne Hall was in it too.

Peace.

Yes, he has done a 3D rendered cartoon - and I'll say here and now, it's probably the most enteriaing 'cartoon' I have ever seen. The two main protaganists are a pair of black bro 'film' producers, who talk like Samual L Jackson, from Pulp Fiction, on spped. Their leading man 'Rock Cock' is a barly disguied Arnie Swhasnegger, but with blonde hair. The film chatres the thrial and tribulations of tring to raise the dough for theoir latest materpice and then trying to shoot it with all sotrs of black and white hoes and crazy charatcters coming into play. i was very impressed. It's hugley enetraining and quite hilarious.

But you're missing the point of, well, what i tried to point out. That you can't lump Mike Ninn's material and that other stuff togther nad weight onbe against the other, beacuse they're like chalk and cheese, they're different beasts. Ninn is not simply offering Jack-off material. That can be done very easily, cheaply and with minimum fuss. That's not Ninn's business, Ninn's offering art, art with a porno theme and, strange as it may seem, there is an audienmce for that. Well, someone's got to be paying for the mega-thousand dollar bugests that quality filmanking, like Ninn's, incurs.
