...and continuing a theme started elsewhere, do these fundamentalist twits really think that the showing worldwide of a murder (NOT an 'execution') will weaken the West's resolve to combat terrorism? The converse, rather.
Nowhere is the gulf in understanding between the two cultures more widely illustrated. And as a bonus, it might even turn a few less impressionable Islamic youngsters off the idea of terrorism as a Lifestyle Choice.

Absolutely.
But I take issue with Bush for the unintentional condonation implicit in his use of the word 'execution', which has a quasi- if not actual legal status.
In the case of the menatlists, it is being used as a euphemistic justification for murder, in much the same way as the US once used 'police action' for 'invasion'.

My teeth grind also when mafia hits are described as 'executions'- it's described thus to try and give it a legitimacy it doesn't have. It's murder, why not CALL it murder?
Hobnobs are extremely nasty and very very bad for you- have the haddie instead. It sounds very nice.
Send me some so I can sample it.

Iv,e had a lightly brazed faggot, with baby sweet corn, on a rasberry jou's
and pom fritte's, sauted in desert wine, followed by a peach and brandy compot, and 3 pints of tea, I am now having a selection of buscuits from the co-op, with pease pudding.
I will be gratefull for a full description of your meal Maggs, but encrypt it, so that some of these fuckas dont see it, as they wouldn,t know good food if it slapped them in the face, and choked them....
