SCT, what happened?

About a year ago, SCT started to transmit their tv programme from 28 degrees east specifically aimed at UK viewers.

This didn't last long. What happened? Were they leant upon?

Curious.

Thanks, Mr Magoo.

Your reply is actually a pretty good precis of the current situation re porn on european satellites.

I'll just add that Ultra Blue is poor value because of their short transmission hours; most of their competitors are now 24/7.

Extasi, part of the SCT set up, is for the kinky fanciers who like Sex View Plus.

Don't Panic isn't liked as much as some of the others by viewers although I haven't seen it myself.

I've seen a bit of 24/7 Sex Tv, which is one of the cheapest, and it doesn't seem bad. They occasionally forget, accidentally of course, to switch on their encryption after trailers and one night it was clear for three hours.

There is a general move to reduce subscription fees, competition I guess, and this shows on the various trailer programmes and sites. These reduced fees take a time to work through to British card retailers (if at all).

Go to http://www.sat-erotik.de/index.php for more info on what is available.

Anyone else who wishes to add to this Consumers' Guide?

Hi Everyone,

I think the main reason for moving from 28deg was the fact the Encryption had been Hacked beyond oblivion.

I regulary post on a forum about satellite and it was widely accepted that the encryption was vulnerable and open to haccking. In fact codes were and still are easily available on the forum.

Personally i think Mr Murdoch together with the content providers made it clear they would not stand for it, however they are still on 13deg and doing a ECM every 3-4 days but codes are still available.

Hi Magoo,

Yes sorry about that, my initial reply could have been written and explained a little bit more clearly, however i had downed quite a few cans of lager before posting.

To add what i had previously wrote i was also trying, to say that Mr Murdoch was trying to distance himself from the whole issue of Hardcore Porn on sattelite. When it suits him he will do anything to make a buck.

As you quite rightly say Mediaguard has never been hacked (Sky 28deg) however i know for a fact that ALL the Sky Italia package has been hacked and is currently working fine on 19.2deg, also some Seca2 channels as well!!!.

Anyway time for a lie down i feel RUFF.

It's about time then Magoo to invest in a Matrix Reloaded Cam or an X Cam?.

Although i must say my MagicCam gave me very good service and i'm sure would have still been going today if i had not tried re-progging it with a Cas2.

Personally i hope to order me a X Cam as this seemingly is highly thought of.

Cheers
