When you consider the arsewipes who get away with calling themselves comedians, it's scandalous that anyone can say Kay is over-rated.

well i always thought les dawson,gary wilmott,and eddie izzard were complete rubbish and overated too.

Comedy, like everything else in life, is a matter of taste. I could never see why Barrymore was popular considering his act was 90% Cleese rip-off and 10% insulting people, yet the frontal lobotomy ward (sorry, audiences at London Weekend Television et al) needed rubber undies because they were pissing themselves laughing.

The business of compiling lists (best comedy programmes, best books---best bum) is a waste of time since the only ones people tend to pay attention to are the ones that agree with their choices.

barrymore was very overated too yes,1st saw him in the mid 80s on her majesties he gave me headache with his non stop shouting and piss taking.

Surprised. Phoenix Nights is good, and his live act is rated too.

Far more deserving of 'most overated' would be:

Mark & Lard, Patrick Kielty, Johnny Vaughan, Johnny Vegas, Reeves & Mortimer.
