ok next question (footie)

Post by davewells »

How is it possible for a footballer to score a legitimate goal without ever being on the pitch. Not a trick question but very ingenius ( but possible ).

Substitute taking a corner which sails right over David Seamans head

Correct Deuce. Sub runs round pitch and scores direct from corner.

That was a good guess....maybe I am a lateral thinker after all

Then again maybe pigs do fly south for the winter

Still sounds illegal to me but I'm not really up with the specific rules of any sports

cheers

Is it not the case that a player has to come on from the sidelines? There's no way a ref would just allow a subby to run round the track to take a corner.

As a local parks referee, the player MUST enter the field of play when coming on. Although possible to take a corner without stepping on the pitch a ref that allowed this would be failing to follow directives.
