offspring arent alt u dumbass....offspring nofx green day and a few others are the bands who shaped that whole bay area rock scene in the late 80s early 90s which sadly has lead to the 10000s of punk rock mtv bands around now...its a shame the influence was abused because those bands were superb in their time - but v.dif to alternative bands Grunge Droog
