Cuba I love you, just come back from 3 months in this fantastic country, and I would move there tomorrow if I could. The people are just great, friendly and giving, they dont have much but they will make you feel part of their family.

I went for business (I am a diver) expecting the worst but really had my eyes opened by this wonderfull place .It made me realize what we have lost in our society sharing, friendship, fun, smiles, dancing simple things that have been replaced by money greed and tv.

Yeah I know there are problems but I was just blow away by cuban peoples resolve and sprit.

I wish the US would lift its trade embargo it would really make a difference.Which leads my to a story I heard about why the embargo is still in force. In florida the state which has 3 millon ex cubans is the most important state in the election so neither demos or repubs will lift the embargo cause they would lost this state and the election, fucking sad.

Rant over

It's strange that your country absolutely refuses to engage with one 'brutal' but tiny Communist nation (Cuba), but happily trades with another 'brutal'but huge one (China)- the latter in the professed (but almost certainly vain) hope that it will lead to a 'softening' of the regime........
I'm thinking all sorts of uncharitable thoughts, the old cynic that I am.........
