I know we shouldn't judge by appearances (and given my phizog, thank heaven for that), but is there any reason why the US defence chief looks like a permanently constipated polecat?

He was once a big fan of Yes Minister

Modelled himself on Sir Humphrey Appleby

Then again maybe its because he is full of shite

Like a good public servant he never really says anything

cheers

Loved his known knowns, known unknowns and unknown unknowns speech. Even Sir Humphrey couldn't have matched that.

i understood what he meant tho, he just chose (in typical american fashion) the wrong words.
when he said KNOWN each time he shouldve used a different word ...prick:)

Unless it was intended as AN homage to Yes, Minister. Hard to tell when someone is joking if he has that painful pile expression on his puss.

What, like 'prick unpricks' and 'prick pricks'?
Doesn't make much sense to me.
But then, little ever does............

To be completely fair and un-biased, John (2 Jags) Prescott is a good exemplar of English as she should be spoke.
