To call Livingston "a shithole" neither reflects that parts of it house some of the most affluent of Scottish commuters nor the relative "shitehole-ness x2" of the comparator location of your initial post.

I could call London or New York a shithole, citing relatively dodgy areas therein. But I don't because that wouldn't be a fair overall assessment.

Granted, being a New Town, there's not much of a history or a particularly thriving cultural scene there. But that's like complaining that a child hasn't proven himself in the world of business, the lazy minature fucker he is.
