How popular is POV anyway?

I notice that most POV is not always POV, and not always strict POV. I guess in strict POV pussy eating would be out of the question unless you like looking at it from a few millimetres. Why are mirrors not used more to give the sort of camera angles not otherwise possible in POV? Seems to me you could have a special mirror room, with multiple mirrors. They could be sized and positioned so as not to show the guy above the chest, or the camera.

Anyway, to my original question.

All forms of porn are a bit gay except POV. When you have sex, you experience it from your point of view, as simulated by a POV video. A conventional porn video of a couple having sex reproduces not the experience of having sex in real life, but of committing an act of voyeurism - which is hardly the same thing.

On top of that, any conventional shoot of a bg couple (particularly the softer Playboy/Penthouse/hotel cable channel type of scene) is going to include a very large amount of a man's arse going up and down, a man's gurning face, and a man's nice sweaty chest. Who the hell wants to watch that unless they're a bit gay?

Discuss :-)

PS - there is a producer in the USA, that older ex-Army chap, who shoots POV but surrounded by a very complicated system of mirrors. Easier to just give in and get a second camera person, I would have thought.

Ha ha Toybox. Seau true. if you think about it.

I'd prefer to use the term "comfortable with ones own sexual orientation" but you do have a point and this was brought up by a girlfriend who suggested it years ago.

If I stopped top think about it it could be very off putting but Im so used to nudity and sexual stuff that I was casually chatting to a bloke who was palming himself off the other day on a porn shoot and thought if this was not a porn shoot that would have been soooooo wrong!

The elaborate mirrors thing is for those who are so insecure at the thought of a camera man being present. I can identify with that as I never regarded myself as a porn star as some have up on here. So I can seek solace in the POV thing being comfortable for me. It is so difficult to perform the more people you have in a scene.

The real skill in filming POV is to variate the angles and keep it interesting which is why it helps if the person filming has some idea of editing.

Now thats what seperates the men from the boys

I'm a member of and that is shot POV style which I actually enjoy. I think providing you mix up the angles it works well, especially for this type of material.

have to say that it is pov for me all the way now. once i got into it, the thought of having to some guys come face over and over really wore me down.

now if the could be some more guys going down the realpunting/lukey route around my area(gloucester/bristol) and doing it in pov. well, i would be in heaven
