"F" with Kandi Barbour. What a shock it was to a) realize she was a living, breathing person and not a wind-up doll and b) observe how beautiful a porn star could be.

Honorable mention:

c) see such bizarre boobies!

For the purposes of this board, the first British porn star I ever fell for was the recently-in-the-news Lorraine Ansell. It was a photo set on the internet of her with a looooooooong holder, looking like the sex kitten Pat Benatar did in her heyday. It took several years to identify her as Lorraine, but the discovery led me to some of my other faves whom I'm very loyal to to this day, including Claire Margar what's her name, Harely Jane Russell and softcore beauty Sami Walker.

It was an American film that was dubbed into Swedish (I think). It had the US pornstar Savannah in it and she was my first major crush as a teenager. Thus beginning a long and unfulfilling obsession with women who look disinterested in porn.

I bought a whole load of her films when I went to America before starting Uni at the age of 18. I found an adult store near where I was staying, bought the VHS tapes, then went to a local mall. The security tags in the tapes set off one of the alarms and I had to empty my porn collection out in front of the (female) security officer. To be fair she acted like she'd seen it all before.

Btw, the film was called Sindarella, and I remember it for having one of the best g/g scenes ever in it.

As far as soft-core goes, I was a big fan of the Electric Blue series - in the days when you could go into your local video rental store and they'd have a whole stack of stuff on the top shelf, before the bloody awful Blockbuster drove them all out of business. For three quid, you could have the tape for two nights and I loved the fact that they were good quality and the girls were top notch. They got increasingly explicit, too, until the 1984 Video Act kicked in and bollocksed it completely!

As for hard-core, it was some long forgotten American job, all flares, big taches and wow-chuka-wow funky soundtrack. It belonged to a mate and must have been about a tenth generation copy - you could just about make out what was going on! Was still fascinated to actually see cocks going into fannies, though...

Hi Saratoga - what has Lorraine Ansell been in the news for? She was one of my faves too, and I did a shoot with her about twelve years ago. Lovely lady, really sweet and friendly. At the time (if my photos are anything to go by) she was striving to look rather like Geri Halliwell!

Ahhh Electric blue

Electric Blue: Sex Model File #2 to be precise, hidden at the back of the video cabinate with the tag line "8 gorgeous sex babes naked" what more could a young lad ask for.

Hardcore was some Swedish film round a mates, all of us there trying our hardest to avoid getting a hard on.

You have to feel a little sorry for the kids growing up now, with everything so freely available on the web. I doubt the'll get the same elicite thrill we had when finding porn for the first time.

I used to live near a photo studio that did the shoots for some of Paul Raymonds magazines, and at about the age of 10 or 11, i would spend hours rifling through the bins, they used to chuck out loads of mags.

I can remember it as if it where yesterday yet it was so long ago.

One of the speakers wasn't working properly on the hi-fi in my room so I decided to try it on the main one downstairs to see if it was the speaker or the hi-fi that was playing up.

Whilst moving the hi-fi downstairs to hook up the said iffy speaker I couldn't help but notice that there was a VHS lodged behind it

Obviously curious as to what it was and was on it I banged it in the machine and it was a film called 'House of Sex' starring Dolly Buster as some sort of hotel owner I presume.

It was like winning the jackpot on the lottery with England on the TV winning the world cup against Germany 5-0 at the same time.

Kids these days will never know the pure joy of discovering such thing as everything is a mere click away of a mouse.

The fact the quality of the copy, which must have been at least tenth or twentieth generation copy at least, was so bad that today would be wholly unacceptable seemed a minor indifference.

Happy Days.
