"Fiona Cooper" closing down!

I've just been reading on another forum the news that "Fiona Cooper" is to shut up for good on 07 March 2008.

According to the "Chloe Cooper" editorial in this months publication they have been driven by financial necessity and have decided that enough is enough. They have been losing money for some time now and there comes a point when they have to cut off the supply.

Whadda load of old Genuine Yorkshire Sooty-cobblers.
He really should be writing for 'Emmerdale' with that talent for fiction.
He probably used to pen those Dan Dare b&w cliffhangers they used to
show at Saturday morning pictures, where the hero would get out of
'impossible-to-get-out-of' predicaments by some amazing deus ex machina
trick in the following week's instalment.

Mind you, I doubt he really needs the dough anymore- maybe he's
decided dodging John Law's too much hassle now he's approaching his
bus-pass....
....meanwhile, I await the March catalogue's 'editorial' with interest.

Resist the urge to place a massive order like many have done in the past

I place the phrase 'closing down sale' in the category of
'bullshit marketing'

Just look at mainstream businesses and how they use the term

At least Phil Boy works in whole pounds, rather than that execrable
"?x.99" that these idiots think we're stupid enough to believe is
significantly cheaper.
