Blimey!!! This is an ancient film. I remember seeing it at the cinema in 1980! Then in 1990 I bought it on VHS. Not in the slighest bit erotic! Even by the standards of the time it was considered tame! Didn't the producer, after seeing the original footage, have to add some girly nudity in order to get it an 'X' certificate?

Background story is as follows:

Mid 1970s and David Sullivan (short arse little git who has made millions from sex magazines and films) wants to make a sex film.

He chooses George Harrison Marks to direct it, as he has a history of making short sex films.

Sullivan's magazines feature Mary Millington a lot, so he gets her to star in the film.

Harrison Marks decides to make the film as a sort cross between "Carry on" and Benny Hill but with a bit more sex. Rather strangley he features himself in one of the lead roles, along with Alfie Bass and other British actors.

But he has little skill in making a 90 minute film and it is a disaster. Sullivan sees it and is appalled.

The story is that some extra "hardcore" sex scenes are filmed to spice it up a bit (for the export market although little evidence the hardcore version was ever shown abroad).

The film is released and through his magazines Sullivan hypes it up as the most exciting sex fim ever made. He shows pictures from the "hardcore" scenes in his magazines, but of course these are not in the film.

Most British people cannot get hold of "porn" at the time, so rush to the cinema to see this film. They all come out disappointed.

Sullivan continues to feature the film in his magazines and it shows around the UK (and in Soho) for ages (over a year I think).

Probably one of the most profitable films ever made, as it cost bugger all to make and raked in millions.

As per usual Sullivan manages to make loads of money of out a load of crap.

In fact the Internet Movie Database entry says it ran for 5 years in soho.
