There is nothing worth shelling out for unless you like softcore.

If you want the real deal, get a Euro set up and a Dorcel TV card (total cost of ?250 ish including dish, reciever and 4 Hardcore channels 24/7 for twelve months). If you don't like the other three channels then Dorcel TV is worth the ?40 by itself!!! Of course there are plenty of other options available if you don't want this card.

The Lidl offer is for a free-to-air machine with portable dish - typically aimed at campers.
Think its branded as Comag and not sure whether it is patchable, but aside from that it has a small dish which will get you Astra and Hotbird but very little else.
Your best bet is to get on the auction site and pick up a cheapo machine with common interface and take it from there - you will then find that there may be alternatives to buying a subscription card.

My advice; don't fork out for any of 'em! Best to keep your money in your wallet. You'll be saving up for something worthwhile on the net.
