Mid-80's copies of 'Mayfair'

Post by WoodWhacker »

Sheesh, this is going to be a long shot but here goes...

A good friend of mine with whom I went to Uni did a topless only set in 'Mayfair' in the mid-80's. Thing is, she never managed to get a copy of the mag when it came out and never went on to do anymore shoots (she'd have been huge by now IMHO if she'd stuck with it but I guess, as we know, it's not for everyone).

Now, I obviously know her real name (and I'm not silly enough, nor going to do anything to 'hurt' her, to disclose it online!) but don't know her 'given' name in the mag. Is there any way I could track a copy down through reputable collectors or someone connected with the mag?

I've got a good description of what she looked like at that time so could probably detail her look to someone who collected the mag in those days who may be able to work out which issue she was in.

If someone connected with the mag sees this - I can pass on her real name and presumably there must be a record of which issue she appeared in?

I stress I'm NOT after her contact details or to get in touch with her - she's moved from the address she was staying at when she shot the piccies - I just want a copy of the mag she was in!!

Anyone any ideas?

PS - Once again, it's not for dodgy purposes - I only want 1 copy of the mag for my own personal curiosity!! Apologies to the Mods if this is the wrong forum!!

Thanks!

Hmmm... first off you could try hattertim's excellent Yahoo group

Describe the photoshoot in lurid detail and see if any of the resident pervs recognise it - i'm afraid I don't.

Jesus... there was a site filled with cover scans and content details dedicated to Mayfair, but I can't remember the URL and the PC I had with it bookmarked is long dead.

I'll have a quick Google and see what I can find.

Couldn't find the tribute site but if you Google Mayfair Magazine archive or similar terms you will find a few sales sites.
