Why are adult DVDs so expensive to buy,particularly in this country (like everything else-have you seen the price of bloody petrol at the moment)...to buy a DVD you're looking at anything between ?15 to ?30..if they were priced around ?10 i'd probably buy 2 or 3 a month but because they're so expensive i find myself limiting/treating myself to maybe 1 a month..it's much cheaper buying from the states...anyone agree?

You're a brave chap to bring this subject up! It's a bit of a sore point around here! There are ways to buy porn inexpensively, but I can't mention it here though!

They are expensive for a variety of reasons but principally the VRA and the License the shop has to buy in order to sell it is to blame.

You'd be surprised at how little goes into a Producers pocket, it's not much more than the price at the local carboot sale.

I personally think people would buy more if dvds were sold cheaper. Dont blame us producers, its the shops that get the big mark up for reasons outlined already.

I would certainly buy more if they were cheaper !happy!

There is a way round this of course and that's do what many food manufacturers do and print your price on your product ie ?12.99 for example. Then the sex shops couldn't put ridiculous markups on them
