Joe A: Sad news

I write this with a heavy heart and regret to inform that Joe A has passed on this afternoon.

Faye and myself along with Nige, his wife and friend visited for the last time yesterday and despite the fact he was very weak I felt and was assured by his best friend for many years that he was very pleased to see us.

He will be seriously missed. I am so sorry to bring this news.

Joe was a little guy with a huge heart. I will always remember him this way even when I told him to 'fucking shut up! I cant believe for such a small bloke you've got a huge fucking voice on you!'...It was said with respect mind.

Now I think about it, it just goes to show how much life he had in him. It is such a shame to see him go this way. I myself have been slashed by the rapier wit of his tongue on a few occasions and told the odd fuck off here and there but he always came back. He had a hot temper but he was a fair man and he was ultimately a good friend.

I will miss him

Joe Adelman Rest In Peace.

This is shocking news!

We would like to express our sincere condolences to all who knew Joe as a friend and colleague.

We ourselves know from the many expressions of gratitude expressed towards him over the life of the forums, that Joe was truly valued as someone who could be relied upon for assistance, often way beyond the expectations of those receiving his help.

R.I.P.

Sad news indeed. Joe was always very kind and let us shoot at his place on several occasions. He will be sadly missed as he was one of the real characters in this industry.
Rest in peace.

I?m so sorry to hear that, Terry. I never had the pleasure of meeting him but, from his helpful postings, he seemed a very decent bloke.

I've been with Joe on more than a few occasions, for various reasons and I ALWAYS found him eager to help in any way he was able.
He had a mind of his own -quite rightly and was correct much more often than he was wrong. He was a damn good host and I can only hope that he went peacefully.

I only met him a few times and, yes, he was certainly a character! I think I was there on one occasion when Terry told him to f...k..g shut up and he just took it in good part. He had plenty of life in him when I last saw him.
Sad indeed.

I also never met him but we exchanged a few emails and I knew from these and of course the many postings that he was a really helpful person, very sad indeed.
