Channel 4 porn survey

After Channel 4's documentary on Ted Bundy "Natural Porn Killer", they are running a pole on whether hardcore porn should be banned. Apparently Bundy blamed porn for the fact that he killed >30 women. Banning porn for that reason seems to me like banning kitchen knives... It seems to me one is much more likely to be killed by a kitchen knife than by the latest DVD of Angel Long getting her arse reamed !happy!

They just unbanned hardcore porn in this country. Who wants to go back to the dark ages again?

I think more people were raping, killing and pillaging and looting before videos were invented....What they gonna do next....Delinquents were drawing porn on the walls of old. Take it away and they'll find nsome other way of finding it....Porn is as usual a scapegoat in these affairs.

Let us all take our claw hammers and bowie knives and head for parliment. We could abduct a few girlies on the way, And have a public beheading and raping session whilst filming and streaming live. Let them see us how we really are.
Or is that just me?

Channel 4 unfortunately is now a sad tv station and are losing viewers in large droves and will screen anything to try and boost their viewing figures and the mere mention of the word porn does boost their figures so any chance of getting porn into the title of a programme they will go for it!sad!

Sad but true, Graham...mind you, the same could be said for most of the 'Big Five' terrestrial stations.
Contrast this with Bravo, who show Porn documentaries/reality shows like Porno Valley and Porn Week without all of the Guardianista hand-wringing guilt trip that is so prevalent amongst Channel 4's coverage of the subject. I find myself watching a lot more of Bravo than I do of the 'traditional' channels, but then given a choice between stuff like [adult swim], Masters Of Horror, The Ultimate Fighter, Dog The Bounty Hunter and the crap on the 'big' channels like Big Brother and Celebrity Love Island, I can't say I'm all that surprised...

A healthy 75% against banning porn.

I watched the programme and apparently they only found softcore and true detective type mags at his place. He hooked up with some religeous nut to try and get hardcore banned obviously some manipulative ploy for an appeal against going to the chair.
It was'nt so long back that they tried to ban Lady Chatterly's Lover and we have'nt seen an increase of violence because of that. Even Betty Page got condemned for "corrupting the youth of Ameica" and now shes got her own feature film released and is a cult icon.

i didnt see the programme but out of interest what was Mr Bundys preferred taste in adult erotica? I mean if he had a vast collection of 18 rated soft stuff in soft focus and slo mo with sleazy sax music I could see why he would have the pent up urge to kill...Like most of us blokes we just have to see it go in....
if he was watching stuff like Cannibal Holocaust then horror is a different brand of porn altogether.

They seemed to focus more on the true detective mags as they were voyeuristic and showed semi sexual violent scenes. These seemed to turn on psychos more than actual porn.
